WEATHER  THEME

  A few weeks ago, within the theme of “Weather Events” we made our own kites, even though we were not able to fly them J  We started the lesson by using our weather chart for brainstorming and finding out the different weather events and the most appropriate weather condition for flying a kite.  After reading the story, we led them to review and describe the story by examining the pictures of the story .  After the story, we listened to the song “Let’s Go Fly a Kite” which is from the Walt Disney’s musical “ Mary Poppins”. Lastly, we gave each child a

 kite template, so that they could create their own kite and color them as they wished.
